Uralla

20min south-east. The home of boutique wineries, local markets, cafes, bakeries and restaurants. Discover the wonderful boutique wool and clothes shops, galleries, book and antique stores as well as the adorable sweets shop.

Guyra

25min north of Armidale. At 1,330 metres above sea level, Guyra is the highest town on the Tablelands. Grab your binoculars and go birdwatching at Mother of Ducks Lagoon, a wetlands reserve that attracts nature and bird lovers from all over the world. Go bushwalking and enjoy the serenity of Wollomombi Falls, Guy Fawkes River National Park, Ebor Falls and Cathedral Rock National Park.

Ebor

45min drive east of Armidale. Ebor Falls offers spectacular waterfall views, scenic lookouts and a picnic area and borders the Cathedral Rocks National Park. Find the cute cafe in town. Beautiful and well worth a visit. Along the way you can drop in and see Wollomombi Falls.

Glen Innes

1hr north. Visit the Super Strawberry, open every day from 9am to 5pm and sample the best of all things strawberry. The Australian Standing Stones- commorating Glen Innes Celtic Heritage. Grey Street in the heart of the CBD is a great place to shop with its numerous arts, craft & collectables shops and cafes serving great food & coffee. Sample award-winning local wines at Glencoe. Fossick in some of the world’s richest gem fields for sapphires, emeralds & topaz.

Walcha

50min drive south. Walcha is a small rural service town located on the eastern slopes of the Great Dividing Range. Known for its Open Air Gallery of Sculptures and Artworks. Currently, the collection consists of 54 sculptures and artworks by local, national and international artists.  Take a stroll around the streets and along the river to enjoy the wonderful variety of works on permanent public display.

Tamworth

1hr 25min drive south west. The city of Tamworth known for its annual Tamworth Country Music Festival, which draws big-name international acts and the Golden Guitar statue.

Inverell

1hr 30min drive north west. Inverell is nestled in a picturesque valley beside the Macintyre River of NSW. There's always plenty to see, do and experience in the Sapphire City. Things to do include sapphire fossicking, bushwalking, camping & fishing. Inverell is also renowned as a boutique shopping destination.

Dorrigo

1hr 30min drive east. The quaint town of Dorrigo where you will discover ancient rainforest, national parks, bushwalking and waterfalls galore. Well worth the drive.
