New England Festival

The New England Festival - previously known as the Armidale Autumn Festival is held in the middle of March each year. 

Start the day in Civic Park with the popular Breakfast with the Band. Indulge in a delicious brekky and listen to the sweet-sounding melodies from Armidale City Band. The Massed Pipe Bands perform throughout the Mall and the Australian Army Band will be perform at the Armidale Services Club. The Grand Parade makes its way through the streets of Armidale and there is live and local music in the Mall throughout the day. International food vendors will fill the Mall so make sure you're there to indulge in the variety of flavours from around the world.

The New England Festival weekend is a great weekend for visitors to get a taste of our community spirit and everything Armidale stands for. In addition to the festival, there is also the Quilting and Needlework Exhibition, The Gem show, Northern Inland Football Gala weekend, The Rugby Knockout Carnival and the Regional Firefighter Championships.

You also have the beauty of Armidale and surrounds to enjoy. Immerse yourself in the changing colours of the leaves, the national parks, the historic churches and homes, the shopping and restaurants.
