High Country Vineyards, Wineries & Cellar Doors

September 12th 2017

At nearly 1,000 metres above sea level, Armidale in the New England High Country is a wine growers and producers paradise.

The high altitude creates a milder climate, with long, cool winters and warm summers, making Armidale the perfect climate to create some of the best Cool Climate Wines in Australia.

There are currently forty-two vineyards, nine wineries and more than twenty cellar doors open to visitors in the New England. So, whether you are a wine novice or connoisseur, the New England High Country has an abundance of wineries right on our doorstep.

The region boasts picturesque and scenic surroundings, so why not come and experience some of the region's award-winning vineyards and wineries.
Come see for yourself. You won’t be disappointed.

Below are just a few of the many wineries and cellar doors in and around the Armidale region.
