January

Guyra Lamb & Potato Festival - Rotary Park, New England Highway, Guyra. This event runs over 10 days, with more than 40 market stalls.

Australia Day - Civic and Curtis Parks. There will be a variety of local market and food stalls or pack a picnic basket to enjoy with friends and family.

February

National Mountain Bike Championships - Held over three days at UNE.

Armidale Antiques Fair - Antiques and collectables from all over the world. Held over three days at the Racecourse, Barney Street.

March

Autumn Festival - The Armidale Autumn Festival weekend is a great weekend for visitors to get a taste of the community spirit and everything Armidale stands for. Armidale looks its best in Autumn. Some of the event highlights include the night markets, laser light show, traditional breakfast with the band, grand parade, carnival atmosphere and stalls down at the creeklands.

Armidale Autumn Festival Motor Extravaganza – At the Racecourse. Muscle cars, bikes, hot rods, antique & classics, antique machinery, tractors & live music.

Armidale & New England Show – Something for the whole family.

Armidale Cup - Set in the heart of the New England Tablelands, Armidale Jockey Club is the place to come to enjoy the magic of racing.

Seasons of New England – Held in Uralla, with over 100 stalls of regional food, wine, craft beer and artisan products.

Annual Gem & Craft Show - At the Armidale Showground. Come & see a spectacular array of gems, rocks, crystals, jewellery, gifts, craft, beads, lapidary books, supplies and equipment with loads more all on sale.

April

Tour De Rocks - Mountain bike riding from Armidale to South West Rocks via Chandler Valley, Styx River, the Big Hill, Willawarrin and Kempsey. Community event focused on raising funds for regional cancer assistance programs and research.

Armidale Youth Orchestra Garden Party - A morning of beautiful music from the Armidale Youth Orchestra in the magnificent garden of "Chevy Chase".

The New England Bach Festival - a four-day biennial festival in Armidale, NSW, dedicated to the great JS Bach, his family, contemporaries and people he influenced.

Armidale Central Rotary Book Fair - Admission is free and open from 9am to 5pm daily at the Armidale Racecourse.

UNE Open Day - Open Day at the University of New England is an opportunity for prospective students to get a taste of life as a university student.     

August

Armidale International Film Festival - Three days, 14 films, 14 countries! First weekend of August every year.

Northern NSW da Vinci Decathlon - Inspired by one of the world's greatest thinkers, Leonardo da Vinci, the Decathlon is an inter-school academic gala day designed to challenge and stimulate the minds of students.

September

Sydney Comedy Festival Showcase - VENUE: Michael Hoskins Centre @ TAS.

Opera in the Paddock - Opera North West is delighted to announce a concert at the Armidale Town Hall. Friday, September 21st.

The Guyra Spring Trout Fest - Held to celebrate the opening of the Trout season. There are fishing clinics for kids, fishing competitions with great prizes, tours of local fishing enterprises, markets, train rides, music, antique cars, and a Guyra foodies tasting event.

October

Rugtoberfest - A triennial event - 2019 - Bellevue Oval.

Uralla Thunderbolt's Festival - Main festivities are on the last full weekend of October each year. Street parade, free rides, live music and entertainment in the park, markets and much more.

Great Eastland Hub Rally - Armidale City Bowling Club, 92-96 Dumaresq Street (Rally Headquarters). Classic and Specialist Car Club members would like to welcome members of the public to come along to admire this magnificent collection of motor vehicles.

November

Antique Machinery and Heavy Horse Rally - Vintage working machinery, small motors, tractors, steam engines, horse-drawn machinery, working draught horse demonstrations, blacksmith and heavy horse shoeing, vintage cars and military vehicles. Or see what is on offer in the swap and sale.

Black Gully Music Festival – Behind NERAM. Chill out with art, food, drink, nature and of course, live local music.

St Peters Gardens - This wonderful event is a "must do" for garden enthusiasts to view cool climate, town and country gardens.

Thunderbolt's Rough Stock Rodeo - Highlights include bull riding and bareback and saddle bronc riding. Grandstand seating with up-close rodeo action. BBQ and outdoor bar.

December

Christmas in the Mall – Armidale shops will be open late, alongside market stalls by local and visiting stallholders. Sneak in some Christmas shopping while enjoying the activities and entertainment on offer.

Regular Events

Wayward Trails - Showcase the Armidale region through its local food, produce and beverage tours. They run Wednesday to Sunday each week for individuals or any group size.

Farmers Market & Car Boot Sale - First and third Sundays each month. Curtis Park, adjacent Armidale Visitor Information Centre carpark (behind Hungry Jacks).

Markets in the Mall - The Armidale Markets in the Mall, held every last Sunday of the month except for December. The December date will be announced sometime later in the year.

NERAM – Exhibitions run throughout the year.

Armidale Art Gallery – Exhibitions run throughout the year.
